Andrea Neri

Architect and designer, Andrea Neri studied at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio, founded by Mario Botta, where he graduated with highest honours and was nominated for the Premio Boni. His education in Mendrisio laid the foundations for an approach to architecture attentive to the relationship between architecture, material, light and landscape, shaped through encounters with architects and designers from different backgrounds and cultures. After graduating, he continued his professional career in Sydney, contributing to projects of international scale, including GB House, which received recognition in several architecture competitions.

In 2019, he returned to Italy and established his own practice in Naples. The studio works primarily in residential architecture and hospitality, developing renovation, interior design and spatial transformation projects. From the scale of the architectural intervention to the smallest detail, each project is approached as a unified process, from conception through to completion.

Architecture is understood as a means of transformation: not simply replacing what already exists, but identifying the qualities inherent in a place and the possibilities that remain to be revealed. The history of a building, natural light, material, proportions and its relationship with the surrounding context all become integral elements of the project.

This architectural sensibility is complemented by photography, design and an interest in the visual arts, contributing to a broader perspective on space and living. The result is a measured approach in which contemporary interventions and memory can coexist without relying on gratuitous gestures or predetermined languages.

Each project therefore begins with the specific identity of a place and the needs of those who inhabit or experience it. The aim is to create distinctive and enduring spaces, capable of developing their own identity through the quality of the design.

The studio works primarily across Naples and Palermo, developing projects in architecture, interiors and design while collaborating, when required, with a network of professionals and specialist consultants.
